Background
Todd W. Spencer grew up in the MidWest and spent much of his youth finding ways to film new adventures, create movies with his friends, come up with crazy and convincing costumes and special effects, writing stories and scripts, and figuring out how to build a particle accelerator (he is still bound and determined that he will build one). His passion for reading, performing, and learning has followed him throughout his life.
Todd also claims the title of Mad Scientist – from almost blowing up the lab in grade school from a slight miscalculation around hydrogen gas generation to coming up with culinary masterpieces using molecular gastronomy. He is constantly tinkering with electronics and building gadgets to integrate into props, clothing, or just to see what he can put together this time. Todd loves designing something and then working to build a prototyping by whatever means is most appropriate – wood and metal working, 3-D printing, leatherworking… you name it! If he needs to learn something new to make it happen, that is all the better!
Todd is a veteran, having served time in the Air Force – of course working on electronics and video. He has worked in Hollywood, in private marketing companies, for the State of California, and on independent projects. He is passionate about learning and about teaching others, and brings an amazingly diverse background to any project. He is fond if saying “Absolutely anything is doable – it just might take a few minutes to figure out how to make it happen.”
